California
California requires that all continuing education courses must be directly related to the administration of ionizing radiation to patients. Courses cannot be related to MRI, Ultrasound, general medical topics, etc.

The following Glacier Valley courses are NOT accepted by the Radiological Health Branch of California for registered radiologic technologists, limited licensed x-ray personnel, or certified supervisors and operators (physicians or other health care providers who supervise radiology personnel).

  • Legal Concerns for Radiology Professionals
  • I Am Not Stressed!
  • The History of Radiology
  • Living with Shiftwork

Although the ASRT has approved these courses for category A credit, the State of California has determined that they do not specifically focus on the application of ionizing radiation to patients, and therefore, does not accept them for state CE credit hours.

All other Glacier Valley courses ARE accepted by the California Board for the total number of credit hours that the ASRT has approved, as these courses are specifically related to the administration of ionizing radiation to patients.
